In a recent interview during ChinaJoy 2014, Gigabyte's graphics marketing manager noted that the company is working on G1 series GTX 800 series graphics card which should be ready in September.
In an interview for
Expreview.com, Gigabyte's graphics marketing manager, Liu Mengzong, revealed that the company is currently working on a new, completely custom, graphics card which will be a part of Gigabyte's G1 Gaming series, company's well established brand aimed at gamers and mostly focused on motherboards (like the G1.Sniper and the G1.Assassin).
Mengzong revealed that the company is also working on a new version of its popular WindForce cooler which should provide much better cooling performance compared to reference cooler. The upcoming graphics card will feature custom PCB, backplate, LED indicators and all the bells and whistles expected from a high-end custom graphics cards.
During the same interview, Mengzong also confirmed that the GTX 800 G1 Gaming series graphics card will be ready by the end of next month, while in the worst case scenario, it should be on retail shelves in early October.
In any case, we are certainly looking forward to see this custom graphics card from Gigabyte.
