Swiftech rolls out new liquid cooling products

The Maelstrom V2 dual-bay reservoir and MCP50X pump

Swiftech has added two new additions to its extensive line of liquid cooling products, the Maelstorm V2 dual-bay reservoir and the MCP50X pump.

The new Maelstrom V2 dual-bay reservoir takes up two 5.25-inch drive bays and provides 355ml of coolant capacity. It comes equipped with the MCP50X pump, which Swiftech also introduced as a stand-alone unit. The reservoir itself is made of clear acrylic, nickel-plated steel chassis and black anodized aluminum bezel and features LED lights that draw power from a 3-pin fan connector. The cut-out at the front of the unit allows you to quickly check coolant levels while the top part has a convenient fill-port cap.

The new Swiftech MCP50X pump, which is also integrated in the Maelstrom V2 dual-bay reservoir measures 62x62x44.8mm, which makes it one of the most compact pumps on the market. According to Swiftech's specification list and despite its small size, the MCP50X can provide 4.8 mH2O of coolant pressure with 14.3 LPM of discharge. It uses brushless-DC motor spinning between 1,200 and 4,500 RPM and has a maximum power consumption of 25.8W. It draws that power from either a 4-pin Molex or standard SATA connector.

The new Swiftech Maelstrom V2 dual-bay reservoir should already be available with a price of US $139.95 while the stand-alone MCP50X pump goes for US $69.95.
