Intel say 10nm manufacturing process is on schedule

Despite the delay with 14nm manufacturing process

During its quarterly financial conference call, Intel has assured its investors and financial analysts that its 10nm manufacturing process is still on schedule despite earlier delays with the 14nm manufacturing process.

During the quarterly conference call with financial analysts and investors, Intel's CEO, Brian Krzanich, noted that the company made no changes or shift for its 10nm schedule and that company will have more information regarding this manufacturing process next year.

It has been revealed earlier that Intel is having troubles with 14nm manufacturing process which has pushed its schedule back and naturally started rumors that the delay will push back the 10nm manufacturing process plans as well. Intel's 14nm manufacturing process chips are coming from Fab 42 in Arizona, USA.

Intel has recently announced that the company might show its first 10nm wafer during the upcoming Intel Developer Forum 2014, which will most likely happen in order to ease the pressure from investors. Currently, Intel's 10nm manufacturing process is scheduled for mass production in 2016.

Earlier rumors suggest that TSMC might also go for the 10nm manufacturing process which will put additional pressure on Intel as well.
