Samsung 850 Pro SSD with 3D V-NAND listed in shops

Across the USA and Europe

Although it was only announced last week, we now have some of the first listings of the new Samsung 850 Pro SSD based on the 3D V-NAND flash memory.

In case you missed it last week, the new Samsung 850 Pro SSD series is based on Samsung's proprietary V-NAND technology and be ideal for use in high-end PCs and workstations. It is based on a standard 2.5-inch form-factor with SATA III (6Gbps) interface and according to Samsung, will offer highest performance among similar design SSDs with sequential read and write performance of up to 550MB/s and 520MB/s, respectively. The random read and write performance is at up to 100,000 and 90,000 IOPS.

The new Samsung 850 Pro SSD series will be available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacity options and has been listed at most major US retail/e-tail shops including both Newegg.com and Amazon.com. The price in the US is set at US $129.99 for the 128GB version, US $229.99 for the 256GB one, US $429.99 for the 512GB one and US $729.99 for the 1TB model.

The new Samsung 850 Pro SSD have been also listed across Europe as well and you can expect it to be priced at around (depending on the region) €139,90 for the 128GB model, €239,90 for the 256GB model, €469,90 for the 512GB and €729 for the 1TB capacity model.
