Diablo 3 on Xbox One might get 1080p support

Sometime in the future

There have been a lot of talk regarding new games and their resolution and framerate on consoles and while some argue that gameplay is more important than the actual resolution of the game, the visual aspects are still quite important. Blizzard's Diablo 3 is one of those games that will have a different resolution on different next-gen consoles but thankfully Blizzard is working on that "problem".

Back in June, Blizzard revealed that the Diablo 3 will run on 900p resolution on the Xbox One while Playstation 4 will be able to run it at 1080p resolution. While many argued that the difference will not be noticeable, the Playstation 4 version is obviously superior, at least on paper.

According to a recent AusGamers interview with Blizzard's senior producer, Julia Humphreys, Blizzard believes that the game could hit 1080p on Xbox One in future. Recent Xbox One SDK released by Microsoft in June gave the console additional GPU power which might help Blizzard push the game up to 1080p.

While it is still not clear when will Blizzard release that patch it is at least good to know that they are working on it.
