The newest leaked benchmarks of the VIA's Isaiah II x86 CPU, developed by a subsidiary of VIA Technology, the Centaur Technology, shows that VIA still has what it takes to take on both AMD and Intel at their game.
The leaked benchmarks of the VIA Isaiah II CPU show that it not only holds its ground when compared to Intel's Bay Trail Atom CPU and AMD's Athlon Kabini but also beats them in some benchmarks. The tested CPU was an engineering release quad-core part clocked at 2GHz and although it is not clear how high is the TDP on the VIA chip, it is clear that VIA might have something interesting for that entry-level market.
Since we are looking at an engineering sample there are still a lot of unknowns, but with these results, we will surely keep an eye out for this VIA CPU.
