The Dead Silence lineup from Aerocool became famous thanks to the first successful case, the DS Cube. Today Aerocool unveiled a new model, which is compatible with ATX, mATX and mini-ITX motherboards: the DS 200.
One of the most important feature you should look for in a PC case, is silence, especially when you are building a gaming rig: the first Dead Silence model, the DS Cube, has been vastly appreciated because of this reason, and now Aerocool is trying to repeat this success with another form factor.
The DS 200 measures 210x527x485mm, and it features a great number of bays for any kind of drive and reader: there are three 5.25” slot (one of them can fit a 3.5” drive thanks to an adapted), a modular cage with 5 slot which are compatible with both 2.5” and 3.5” drives, and two additional 2.5” slots. If you keep the center part of the cage, you will have to settle for a 290mm long GPU, while if you remove it, you can go as long as 410mm. As far as CPU dissipation is concerned, the maximum height is 170mm, while ventilation wise the DS 200 doesn’t joke around: it features 3 pre-installed fans, two 140mm in the front, and a 120mm in the back. The top panel can feature either a panel for silence, or a mesh for the most effective cooling: both panels are bundled with the case.
The I/O panel features two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, audio jack, a little display that shows the internal temperature, and a button for fans regulation. A few different models are going to hit the market: the Lite version, which is available only in black, will cost 79.90, while the complete version, available in black, red, orange, blue, green, black/white) will sell for 94.90 €. There’s also an optional window panel, available for 13$.
