After the general manager of Xbox Studios at Microsoft gave some praise to Sony on its continued success of Playstation 4, the head of the Xbox division, Phil Spencer, also added his congratulations to the rival.
In an interview with Pcoket-lint earlier this month, Microsoft's general manager of Xbox Studios, Matt Booty, gave some praise to Sony for its launch continued success of Playstation 4 by saying that "They've got great momentum right now."
Today, the head of the entire Xbox division, Phil Spencer, added his congratulations to Sony and their Playstation 4 but warned that while Sony might have won the first battle, the next-generation console war is still only in its infancy, and a lot of things could happen in future.
While speaking to Gamesindustry International during E3 show, Spencer did give credit to Sony on its early success but also told that Xbox is also growing rapidly and might catch up to Playstation 4 over time. He also added that these are just early days and it is still too early to see "how this will all play out." He added that console-wars are a long-term competitive space and this type of competition can only be good for consumers.
While Spencer did not directly talk about Sony's PS4 lower price, he was quite keen to note the importance of Microsoft's recently introduced cheaper Kinect-free Xbox One.
