After the yesterday overclock world record set by John Lam from HKEPC OC, we have a new interesting record today as well. Nick Shih managed to reach 7003.38 MHz on the latest Intel Core i7-4790K on the ASRock Z97 OC Formula motherboard.
Intel's Devil's Canyon CPUs have just been released and overclockers apparently never sleep. With a frequency higher than 7 GHz and a voltage of 1.792 volts, we can say that it is definitely a very interesting score. Of course, Nick Shih obtained this high frequency with extreme cooling using liquid nitrogen. The overclocker sent us some photos which you can find below.
