A set of close up shots of the Polaris 10 GPU, codename Ellesmere, provided by Fritz Fritzchens on Flicker, are not only looking cool, but also confirm the maximum number of Stream Processors on the GPU.
Made on 14nm FinFET manufacturing process at GlobalFoundries, the close up of the Polaris 10 Ellesmere GPU clearly shows all the 36 GCN Compute Units, each with 64 Stream Processors, which adds up to 2304 Stream Processors, exactly the number of Stream Processors on the RX 480.
A Reddit post marked out all those 36 GCN CUs so it appears that there won't be another graphics card based on Polaris 10 GPU with higher Stream Processor count so we will have to wait for AMD's next-generation Vega GPU for that.
