Following the official announcement of both the RX 470 and the RX 460, today we have more details regarding a couple of custom RX 460 graphics cards from ASUS, including the overclocked ASUS ROG STRIX RX 460 and the ASUS RX 460 Dual.
While we do not have much details regarding the RX 460 Dual OC Edition version, which will pack 2GB of GDDR5 memory and have a dual fan cooler, the ASUS ROG STRIX RX 460 is fully detailed.
Featuring the same DirectCU II cooler with patented Wing-Blade fans and which should be both 30 percent cooler and up to three times quieter, the ASUS ROG STRIX RX 460 OC will also have Aura RGB lighting, 4+1-phase Super Alloy Power II VRM, customizable color decals, and feature factory-overclocked settings.
The precise clocks are set at 1236MHz for the Gaming mode and 1256MHz for the OC mode, while 2GB of GDDR5 memory with a 128-bit memory interface will remain at reference 1750MHz (7.0GHz effective).
The ASUS ROG STRIX RX 460 will obviously be one of the best Radeon RX 460 money can buy but such factory-overclock comes at a price, since this will be one of the RX 460 cards that will need addition 6-pin PCIe power, unlike the ASUS RX 460 Dual, which will draw power only from the motherboard PCIe slot.
Unfortunately, there are still no details regarding the price or the availability date but earlier details suggest that RX 460 could launch today, August 8th.
