In addition to entry-level and mainstream APUs currently shipping for socket FM2 platform, AMD also has a couple of CPUs as well that will be pretty much on par with comparable APUs but will lack the GPU part. A couple of such Athlon X2 and X4 CPUs based on Richland core have been spotted in the CPU support list at Asus' website, including Sempron 250, Athlon X2 350 and the Athlon X4 750.
According to early information, the AMD Sempron 250 is a dual-core chip working at 3.2GHz and packing 1MB of L2 cache. It has a 65W TDP and identical to the GPU equipped A4-4000 SKU APU. The AMD Athlon X2 350 is pretty much the same deal except it works at slightly higher 3.5GHz clock.
The last but not the least is the mainstream Athlon X4 750 is a "locked" version of earlier spotted and Trinity based Athlon X4 750K. Although both of them work at 3.4GHz clock and feature 4MB of L2 cache, the Athlon X4 750 has a newer core stepping and thus a lower 65W TDP.
These will be budget models that will surely appear in a lot of mainstream and budget office and home computers for sure.
