Cooler Master has announced the successor of its quite popular CM 690 case, the CM 690 III. As the third iteration ofc the popular CM 690 that is most likely still on some of the desks around the world, the new CM 690 III continues the tradition by retaining the sleek curved mesh style on the front while providing features that can be found on modern PC cases.
With a completely redesigned interior, the new CM 690 III offers new HDD/SSD combo cage with support for 3.5-inch/2.5-inch HDD or SSDs deployment in every slot with support for up to 10 SSDs in the cage and one SSD mount behind the motherboard tray. The cage is removable in order to give more room for up to 423mm long GPUs while it also supports up to 171mm tall CPU coolers.
As far as the cooling goes, the CM 690 III supports two 240mm (2x120mm) radiators for liquid cooling that can be placed at the top and front as well as additional support for a 120mm in the rear. In addition to liquid-cooling options, the CM 690 III supports up to nine fans and comes bundled with front 200mm and rear 120mm fans.
As expected, it supports microATX and ATX motherboards, has 230x507x502mm dimensions and will be available in Midnight Black color with two SKUs, with or without the side window. The I/O panel features two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 ports as well as audio In/Out jacks.
The Cooler Master CM 690 III will be available in retail/e-tail in August and a quick check at one of the price-search engines shows it listed in Europe for around €90-100.
