OUYA game sales better than expected

Even reasonably profitable

A couple of indie developers have decided to speak up and reveal that games developed for Android-based OUYA console are doing quite good. According to details it appears that sales are better than expected and even reasonably profitable.

In an interview for the Edge, three developers reported positive experience with the new OUYA console while Nimblebit's David Mash noted that, despite the fact that it will not be "a huge source of income" for the company, when compared to other platforms, the OUYA is still quite good, mostly thanks to its easy to submit game model.

Knife Media developer noted that they managed to break even within two and a half weeks and that they expect the real figures to show up by the end of the year as OUYA is still shipping to some buyers and there aren't that many OUYA consoles plugged in.

Towerfall was more than happy with 2,000 sales of its US $15 game title and that sales were certainly much better than expected.
