Gainward Geforce GTX 780 Phantom coming soon

With new Phantom cooler

Gainward's Phantom has been around for quite some time and was the cream of the crop when it comes to graphics cards with some quite unique features. According to a recent set of previews it appears that the GTX 780 will be the new member of the Gainward Phantom series.

Although it still did not reveal any details regarding the actual specifications of the GTX 780 Phantom, Gainward did reveal that the upcoming GTX 780 will feature an 8-phase VRM with DrMOS and that it will draw power from two 8-pin PCI-Express connectors so we do expect a hefty factory overclock and a very good overclocking potential.

Gainward also did some updates to its Phantom cooler that now features an even easier way for fan cleaning by simply removing them via thumb-screw. It also comes with a thicker aluminum fin-stack, five 8mm heatpipes and a baseplate+heatsink combination that covers the entire PCB.

Gainward's Phantom series were usually high-end graphics cards aimed at overclockers and enthusiasts and we are quite sure that this one will be quite same.

Unfortunately, we will have to wait a bit longer for some precise specifications, availability date and most importantly, the price of the Gainward GTX 780 Phantom.
