During Computex 2013 show, Intel showcased a rather interesting and impressive thumb drive that features Thunderbolt interface and promises speeds of up to 10Gbps.
Intel called it the "world's fastest thumb drive" and with promises of up to 10Gbps we certainly have to agree with them. Intel say that those transfer speeds are simply unreachable with USB 3.0 interface as those can go as high as 5Gbps. The prototype used 128GB Sandisk SSD and directly connects to a Thunderbolt port.
Unfortunately, Thunderbolt did not kick off and it is not as widely available as it was expected as currently, Apple is the only company that actually made any significant push with Thunderbolt.
Of course, that could change soon judging by the amount of Thunderbolt adoption on Intel's Haswell motherboards at Computex.
