Razer has unveiled the new Razer Blade Pro 17.3-inch gaming notebook that will be based on Intel's upcoming Haswell platform and paired up with the new Nvidia Geforce GTX 765M GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 memory.
Thanks to the Intel 4th generation Haswell platform, the new Nvidia Geforce GTX 765M GPU and groundbreaking storage performance, the new Blade Pro is faster and more powerful than ever before, according to Razer. Razer's co-founder, CEO and creative director, Min-Liang Tan noted that Razer aim was to make a gaming laptop for work that could handle all the games and even run most popular creative software applications as well.
With 427x22.4x277mm dimensions and 2.98kg weight, the Razer Blade Pro will definitely be one of the lightest and thinnest 17.3-inch gaming notebooks on the market. As noted earlier, it will be based on Haswell platform paired up with 8GB of DDR3L-1600 memory and Nvidia Geforce GTX 765M GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 memory complemented by Intel HD4600 iGPU. The 17.3-inch 16:9, 1920x1080 resolution backlit screen will certainly be enough for most users and gamers.
The rest of the specifications include 128GB SSD with optional 256 and 512GB SSDs in mSATA format, Qualcomm Killer NIC N1202 for 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. stereo 2.0 speakers, 2-megapixel front-facing webcam with array microphones, three USB 3.0 ports, Windows 8 64-bit OS and 74Whr battery that should keep it alive for at least a couple of hours.
As expected, it will be equipped with Razer Anti-Ghosting keyboard with adjustable backlight, Razer Switchblade user interface instead of the numpad and Razer Synapse 2.0.
Of course, great design and impressive specifications come with a hefty price tag as well so the Razer Blade Pro will start at US $2,299 one it hits pre-order on June 3rd in the USA and Canada.
