Cooler Master PSUs are Haswell-ready

Sheds some light on the actual problem

Cooler Master has release a press release that actually focuses more on the misinformation regarding the upcoming launch of the 4th Generation Intel Core Haswell CPUs and lists all its PSUs as compatible with the upcoming PSUs.

Cooler Master noted that all PSUs will actually support Haswell CPUs and there will not actually be any problems other than it would draw 5W more in idle mode. Enthusiasts community and high-end consumers are already aware of the issues that some PSUs might have with Haswell CPUs as it is basically an issue with the new C6 and C7 sleep state modes that can be disabled via BIOS. Of course, we must agree with Cooler Master that this might have caused some confusion with an average and entry-level consumers but we also believe that these will not be affected considering the fact they mostly leave the PC assembly and compatibility to various system builders and shops.

Of course, Cooler Master notes that all its PSUs will support Haswell CPUs and that it can be fixed by adding a silent fan to the PSU that will provide enough load to keep the system running in those advanced power saving modes and the only disadvantage would be that it would have a slightly higher power usage when compared to the full sleep mode.

In any case, Cooler Master just noted that there is actually no issue whatsoever but those C6 and C7 states are quite interesting and it will only be available to enthusiasts that will take a good look at their PSUs and those states. On the other hand we would certainly like to see a list of Cooler Master PSUs that actually support those states other than a full list of PSUs that will work with Haswell CPUs.
