AMD has launched its newest Catalyst 13.4 WHQL driver that brings support for the launched Radeon HD 7990 flagship dual-GPU graphics card as well as some performance improvements, latency performance, bug fixes and new AMD Enduro profile updates.
The new AMD Catalyst 13.4 WHQL Software Suite contains, AMD Catalyst Display driver v12.104, HydraVision, southbridge/IXP driver and AMD Catalyst Control Center/AMD Vision Engine Control Center. The support has been extended to the Radeon HD 7990 as well as the HD 7790.
As far as the improvements go, the new driver brings Catalyst Driver optimizations to improve performance in Far Cry 3, Crysis 3 and 3DMark as well as significantly improve latency performance in Skyrim, Boderlands 2, Guild Wars 2, Tomb Raider and Hitman Absolution games. The performance gain range from up 13 percent in Quake Wars and up to 5 percent in Batman Arkham City and Civilization V, all noticed on the entire AMD Radeon HD 7000 series.
