NVIDIA Game Ready driver might cause loop

397.31 WHQL are causing a few problems

A few hours ago, NVIDIA has released another version of Game Ready WHQL driver. The driver release came alone with the usual release notes and they offer performance boost for a couple of games like BattleTech and Frostpunk. On the official forum several users have reported endless PC reset loop with this drivers.

According to the forum, it seems that the issue is affecting setup based on the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. The issue looks pretty serious and annoying, since the affected user will see the system rebooting in an endless way. After the driver installation, the system will start rebooting over and over. Since the GTX 1060 is NVIDIA's most popular graphics card, this issue might be a serious problem.

At this time there isn't so many information around. If you are facing this issue, you have to install Display Driver Uninstaller software and roll back to 391.95 driver. Since it's still not clear if the issue is only about the GTX 1060, we suggest to pause the auto-downloading feature on the GeForce Experience.
