AMD has finally released first pictures regarding their new RX Vega graphics cards, revealing a cooler design that is similar to the one that can be found on the RX Vega Frontier Edition. While the RX Vega Frontier Edition sports a dark blue cover, the RX Vega comes with a light silver shroud. The official name of this card is Vega 64, where the number derives from the number of core clusters the chip comes with. At a later stage AMD is also going to release the RX Vega 56, which is supposed to be a little less powerful.
Looking at the images we see two 8-pin PCIe power connectors and furthermore there is a blower-style cooler. Regarding the outputs, this GPU comes with a HDMI port and three DisplayPort 1.4 connectors. In addition to the air cooled RX Vega 64, AMD has revealed the RX Vega 64 Liquid and the RX Vega Nano. The RX Vega 64 Liquid, as the name suggests, comes with an all-in-one cooler like the previous card RX Fury. This particular version should offer more performance due to the better cooler and increased boost clock speeds.
As we already mentioned Raja Koduri has also unveiled the RX Vega Nano. This graphics card comes with a design that is similar to the RX Vega 64 and once again there is a silver aluminum shroud with red details. This mini-ITX graphics card packs a single large (standard) axial fan and a PCB that is estimated to measure between 12 to 15 centimeters in length. According to the latest rumors, the RX Vega 56 which packs 3584 stream processors and 56 CUs might costs $399 USD. The RX Vega 64 Air and RX Vega Liquid should hit $499 and $599 respectively. The RX Vega 64 Nano are supposed to hit the market at a later stage.
AMD is expected to reveal more information on their RX Vega series of GPUs soon, though the leaked prices place the RX Vega in competition with NVIDIA's GTX 1080 graphics card.
