Last week we have seen the first rumors regarding the upcoming Gigabyte AORUS GTX 1080 Ti Extreme Edition. Meanwhile Gigabyte has published more details on the AORUS GTX 1080 Ti and the flagship AORUS GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition. Both models feature a triple-fan cooler with black and orange color scheme.


Gigabyte has released more details on the upcoming GeForce AORUS GTX 1080 Ti. According to latest information, it appears that Gigabyte will release two models. While the first one is the more "standard" model, the second one appears to be built for extreme overclocking. The cooler used on the AORUS GTX 1080 AORUS is an improved version of the WINDFORCE Stack Cooling module which can be found on several Gigabyte graphics cards. The card features a triple slot heatsink and a dense aluminum fin stack that has been combined with three fans (WINDFORCE cooler). The entire cooler has been kept in black and there is a solid back plate presenting the Aorus logo.

While the GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition works at 1480MHz/1582MHz Core/Boost frequencies, the Gigabyte AORUS GTX 1080 Ti comes with a decent factory overclock running at 1569MHz/1683MHz Core/Boost frequencies. Furthermore if the OC software is running in the background, the Core/Boost frequencies can be a little higher - up to 1594MHz/1708MHz. The flagship AORUS GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition now has clock frequencies listed as well and in OC Mode it runs at 1632MHz/1746MHz Core/Boost, while in Gaming Mode 1607MHz/1721MHz Core/Boost are achieved.

As of today there is no date available when this card will hit the shelves of your local retailer. According to Geizhals, the new Gigabyte AORUS GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition might be available for about 870 Euro excluding shipping costs. We also expect that Gigabyte is going to launch more versions of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card.
