Dell has expanded its monitor lineup with a new model which features a 32-inch panel with 7680 x 4320 resolution. According to Dell the display covers 100 percent of the Adobe RGB, sRGB and Rec709 color spectrum and a few other color standards. The new Dell UP3218K is one of the first 8K monitors that you can buy.


As we already mentioned the UP3218K monitor has been equipped with a 32-inch panel and 7680 x 4320 pixel resolution. There are two DisplayPort 1.4 connectors, four USB 3.0 ports and audio panel. The display comes with a contrast ratio of 1300:1 and 400 cd/m2 brightness. Although someone might use this huge display with ridiculous expensive gaming PCs, Dell is marketing this display for content creators. Since the resolution is 16x bigger than 1080p, you can zoom in and zoom out quite easily finding details you weren’t able to spot before.

Since this isn't a gaming monitor, you will not find any FreeSync or G-Sync support. The Dell UP3218K monitor isn't just about pixels: it features an aluminum frame with pan, tilt, swivel, height adjustment. Furthermore it is compatible with VESA mounts making this display ideal for multi-monitor configurations if required. The new Dell UP3218K should be available by the end of the month in Dell’s official store for $5000 US.
