Palit already has a wide portfolio when it comes to graphics cards but that didn’t stop them from launching yet another model. The new card goes by the name “Dual OC” and it delivers solid performance at a competitive price point.
The Dual OC cooler has been used on most of Palit’s high-end GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and GeForce GTX 1060 graphics cards. One of the best features about it was that the height is almost standard being only marginally taller than the reference cooler. This helps in terms of compatibility if you plan to put such a card into a smaller case. A quick look at the dimensions shows that this card measures 267mm length, while for example the JetStream or the GameRock from the same Vendor are 285mm long.
Checking the specs we see that the Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual OC comes factory-overclocked to 1620MHz/1759MHz Core/Boost clocks, while the GTX 1080 Founders Edition works at 1607MHz/1733MHz Core/Boost frequencies. This is only a tiny factory OC, yet it’s better to get a card with a little overclock than none at all. When it comes to outlets we find the usual three DisplayPorts 1.4, one HDMI 2.0b connector and one dual-link DVI port.
According to details mentioned on Computerbase this card will be available in mid February. Although no price has been revealed yet, this is going to be Palit’s cheapest GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. Looking at the vendors GeForce GTX 1070 lineup the Dual OC model is the one with the lowest price, by about 20 Euro. Therefore it’s reasonable to assume, that the price differences in the case of their GeForce GTX 1080 offerings will be similar.
