A few days ago Ubisoft has released a new update for Tom Clancy's The Division, this new patch brings significant improvements regarding DirectX 12 performance with AMD graphics card. According to the first tests from GameGPU and ComputerBase, it looks like the improvements put the RX 480 16% ahead of the GTX 1060.
The guys from GameGPU have used an ASUS Radeon RX 480 STRIX with Crimson ReLive 16.12.1 drivers and an ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB STRIX with GeForce 376.19 drivers for their comparison. Apart from that an Intel Core i7-5960X CPU, a Gigabyte X99 UD7-WiFi motherboard and 32GB DDR4 2'666MHz memory have been used.
According to the russian site, the average difference between the two cards is close to 16%. In addition, also ComputerBase has conducted the same tests and the difference in 1920x1080 is about 12% while at 2560x1440 about 13%. Apparently it looks like the Polaris based GPUs benefit from those latests changes rather significantly, which is certainly a great thing to see.
