The guys on WCCFtech found a leak regarding the upcoming Radeon Software Crimson ReLive drivers, for both consumers and professionals. With the ReLive release we should see significant performance improvements in some applications compared to the still recent 14.502.1019 driver. Apart from increasing performance new features have been added.
The first feature that is going to be introduced is AMD's Pro Renderer, which is an engine that’s able to render photorealistic images. It works as a plugin and can be natively integrated into different software. In fact the AMD Pro Renderer works with Autodesk 3DS Max, Autodesk Maya, Blender and Unity Engine. Furthermore the new feature is also going to be compatible with LiquidVR.
On the Linux side of things AMD is offering an open-source version in addition to its own proprietary driver. Regarding performance, the ReLive release is going to pack significant performance improvements for some application compared to the 14.502.1019 driver. For example the FirePro W7100 should see improvements of 17%, 18% and 30% on PTC Creo, Siemens NX and Dassault Catia.
According to the guys on WCCFtech, the AMD Crimson Relive Edition will be officially available on 8th December at 9 A.M EST.
