ASUS has introduced yet another Geforce GTX 1080 graphics card that will come at somewhat lower price but still feature STRIX badge and ASUS' AURA LED system, the ASUS GTX 1080 STRIX A8G Gaming Aura graphics card.
Based ont he same custom PCB as the earlier model, with 8+2-phase VRM and DirectCU III cooler, the new ASUS GTX 1080 STRIX A8G Gaming Aura graphics card will have somewhat lower clocks set at 1670MHz GPU base and 1809MHz GPU Boost clocks, compared to the 1759/1898MHz on the original GTX 1080 STRIX.
Good thing is that ASUS retained the same DirectCU II cooler with five copper heatpipes and three 100mm fans as well as ASUS' own AURA RGB LED lighting.
The new GTX 1080 STRIX A8G is expected to be around 5 to 10 percent cheaper so it should land at somewhere around US $600.
