Razer has now officially launched its newest living room friendly device, the Turret lapboard, which is basically a keyboard and mouse combo meant to be held in your lap.
While most living room gaming is focused on gamepad controllers, Razer wants to change that with its new Turret lapboard. We have already seen similar products from other companies, and the concept is the same, combining both the keyboard and a mousepad in a single device.
Razer already showcased the Turret back at CES 2015, and it has has significantly changed since then in order to offer perfect ergonomics for a living room and your lap.
Thanks to the included 2.4GHz USB adapter and Bluetooth LE capability, the Turret can connect to any PC, game console or an Android device and it even comes with dedicated Android buttons, in case you want to pair it up with Razer's Forge TV set-top box.
Specification wise, the lapboard has a chiclet-styled keycaps and anti-ghosting capability which allows for up to 10 simultaneous key presses. It also comes with a 1500mAh battery which should offer up to 4 months of battery life. The Turret also comes bundled with a 3500 DPI sensor wireless mouse with 40 hour battery life. The bundle also includes a charging dock for both devices.
The new Razer Turret lapboard is already available with a price set at US $159.99/€189.99.
