Thanks to the introduction of 8Gbit GDDR5 memory modules, AMD has now unveiled its newest FirePro W9100 with 32GB of GDDR5 memory.

After Nvidia took the VRAM crown with its 24GB Quadro M6000, AMD has decided to take it back by introducing an update version of the FirePro W9100 which comes with no less than 32GB of 5Gbps GDDR5 memory.

Identical to the previously available FirePro W9100 16GB, the new version still features a fully-enabled Hawaii GPU with 2816 Stream Processors, 176 TMUs and 64 ROPs. The GPU is still clocked at 930MHz and it has the same 275W TDP.

The only difference is that it comes with 32 of new 8Gb GDDR5 chips, additng up to 32GB of RAM paired up with a 512-bit memory interface.

With the new FirePro W9100 32GB, AMD has become the first to ship a professional-grade graphics card with such amount of memory, although it will be available sometime in the Q2 2016.

The new AMD FirePro W9100 32GB will have an MSRP of US $4999, making it a cool $1000 more expensive compared to the FirePro W9100 16GB.
