Playstation VR pre-orders all sold out in minutes

Things look good for Playstation VR

Sony has opened up pre-orders for its Playstation VR Launch Edition bundle yesterday and, according to the reports, it has sold out in a matter of minutes.

The bundle was sold out at Amazon.com and also unavailable at Target and Best Buy, two of the biggest retailers in the US. There are still a few left at Walmart and Gamespot, according to various reports, but it looks like these will sell out pretty quickly. It was the same thing all around Europe as well.

In case you missed it, the PlayStation VR Launch Edition bundle includes the Playstation VR headset with headphones, Playstation Camera, two Playstation Move controllers, the VR Demo and VR Worlds discs and all the necessary cables. The Playstation VR Core, which only includes the VR headset should be up for pre-order on March 29th.

While the virtual reality craze started on the PC with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR headsets, the biggest push comes from Sony.

This was not a big surprise as at the end of the day, Sony's Playstation VR is cheaper as it does not need a high-end PC and already has a big audience with over 35 million consoles sold, as reported in January.
