ASUS has unveiled its new Geforce GTX 980 Ti Strix Gaming Ice graphics card that will feature a Bitspower liquid cooling water block as well as some other high-end features.
Based on Nvidia's Maxwell GM200 GPU with 2816 CUDA cores, 96 ROPs and 176 TMUs, paired up with 6GB of GDDR5 memory with a 384-bit memory interface, the new GTX 980 Ti Strix Gaming Ice will be the cream of the crop when it comes to ASUS' GTX 980 Ti offer.
The new ASUS GTX 980 Ti Strix Gaming Ice graphics card will have two modes, Gaming and OC Mode. The Gaming mode sets the GPU at 1190MHz base and 1291MHz GPU boost clocks while the OC Mode pushes it up to 1216MHz base and 1317MHz GPU Boost clocks. The 6GB of GDDR5 works at 7.2GHz in both modes.
Featuring a custom PCB with Super Alloy Power II components and 14-phase VRM, powered by two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors, the new GTX 980 Ti Strix Ice Gaming is also made with ASUS' Auto Extreme production technology, which should make it much more reliable.
In addition to the dual-slot cooling solution with Bitspower liquid cooling water block, ASUS also equipped the new GTX 980 Ti Strix Gaming Ice with RGB LED lighting on the Strix logo and the block itself.
Currently only seen on ASUS' Chinese site, the GTX 980 Ti Strix Gaming Ice is said to be priced at US $899 and be available soon.
