Dell has unveiled a new InfinityEdge monitor that will be a part of its UltraSharp lineup, the 27-inch U2717D.
Based on a 27-inch IPS panel with WQHD 2560x1440 resolution, most likely LG's AH-IPS panel, the Dell UltraSharp U2717D InfinityEdge monitor features exceptionally thin bezels of just 7.3mm (0.28-inches) at the top and 8.4mm (0.33-inches) on the sides, which is the key feature of the InfinityEdge series.
The rest of the features include 350cd/m² of maximum brightness with WLED backlight, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 8ms response rate, 60Hz refresh rate, 178°/178° viewing angles and support for 8-bit color.
The new Dell UltraSharp U2717D InfinityEdge is also factory-calibrate and features two HDMI 1.4 (with MHL 2.0), mini DisplayPort 1.2, DisplaPort 1.2 and DisplayPort out for MST daisy-chaining. It also features four USB 3.0 ports and 3.5mm audio output and comes with a standard Dell stand which offers tilt, swivel, height, and pivot adjustment.
Unfortunately, Dell did not reveal any details regarding the price or the worldwide availability date for the UltraSharp U2717D InfinityEdge monitor but
it has been spotted on Dell's Chinese website priced at ¥5,999, which converts to about US $910.
