New Hitman game could run on DirectX 12

Might support Vulkan API

According to the latest report it appears that the upcoming Hitman game might run on DirectX 12 and even support Vulkan API.

According to GDC 2016 schedule, IO Interactive's lead render programmer Jonas Meyer will be talking about the upcoming Hitman game and DirectX 12-powered renderer. There have been a few rumors earlier that Hitman might be one of the first games to support DirectX 12 and this is pretty much the first confirmation that it just might be the case.

The top is called "Advanced Graphics Techniques Tutorial Day: Rendering Hitman with DirectX 12" and promises to teach the audience on "how to write a fast and efficient DirectX 12 / Vulkan engine, and how to use the new [hardware] features to implement new graphics techniques," suggesting that the engine might even support Vulkan API as well.

GDC 2016 is scheduled to start in March and it appears there will be quite a few interesting things to see during this event so hopefully we will hear more soon.
