Although an entry-level AMD Polaris GPU was already spotted about a week ago, when AMD officially unveiled its Polaris GPU architecture, it appears that an enthusiast GPU based on Polaris architecture was present at CES 2016 show.
While Anthony Garreffa from Tweaktown.com was not allowed to take any pictures or get any details regarding the GPU, according to the report, this was either the new Radeon 400 series GPU, successor of the Radeon R9 390X or even the Fury X successor, but more details are still unknown.
In case you missed it earlier, AMD showcased a working Polaris architecture entry-level GPU meant for small form factor and compared it to Nvidia's GTX 950. Both systems were able to get 60FPS in Star Wars Battlefront game with Nvidia drawing 140W and Polaris GPU architecture drawing 86W.
This is certainly great news if AMD already has a working enthusiast-class Polaris GPU. Hopefully we will hear more about it soon if AMD is on track to release it in mid-2016.
