EVGA announces new 700B power supply unit

80 Plus Bronze certified

EVGA has unveiled a new budget-oriented power supply, pumping out 700W of continuous power, the EVGA 700B.

As this is an entry-level power supply, it does not come with a modular design but rather fixed cabling and has an 80 Plus Bronze efficiency rating, which means it provides 81 percent efficiency at 100 percent load at 220V (82 percent at 115V).

The rest of the specification are straightforward too as it has a single +12V rail design, providing 56A, which should be enough to power a decent amount of hardware including a single high-end or two mid-range graphics cards, since it includes two 6+2-pin PCI-Express power connectors. It is also backed by a a 3-year warranty.

While the specifications might not be impressive, the US $64.99 price certainly is. The new EVGA 700B PSU is currently on sale with US $15 mail-in rebate, pulling the price down to US $49.99. Unfortunately, it is still not available in Europe but hopefully we will see a similar deal here as well.
