ASUS has been recently working closely with Google and after a couple of Chromebooks that were released earlier, it has now announced the Chromebit HDMI stick, a Chrome OS-running HDMI stick computer with Rockchip RK3288-C SoC.
Priced at US $85, the ASUS Chromebit CS10 HDMI stick is based on Rockchip's RK3288-C SoC with four Cortex-A17 cores and Mali T764 GPU. The SoC is paired up with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of NAND storage. The rest of the specifications include 2x2 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI 1.4 output, USB 2.0 port and DC-in plug. It runs on Google's Chrome OS.
The precise dimensions of the ASUS Chromebit are set at 123x31x17 mm and it weighs a mere 75g. It will be available in a couple of different color options, including black, blue, grey and orange.
As noted, the ASUS Chromebit HDMI stick will be priced at US $85, comes with a year of free 100GB Google Drive storage and should be available as of today.
