EVGA has announced a new graphics card that will be a part of its Geforce GTX 900 series lineup, the Geforce GTX 970 SSC Fallout 4 Edition.
In order to celebrate the launch of what could easily be the most anticipated game this year, Bethesda's Fallout 4, EVGA has decided to launch a new, limited edition, Geforce GTX 970 Super SuperClocked (SSC) Fallout 4 Edition graphics card.
The new EVGA Geforce GTX 970 SSC Fallout 4 Edition will feature a custom Fallout 4 box art, a custom Fallout 4-themed backplate and pack a factory overclock of 140MHz, pushing the GTX 970 GPU to 1190MHz for the GPU base and 1342MHz for the GPU Boost clocks.
Unfortunately, the new EVGA GTX 970 SSC Fallout 4 Edition does not come with a copy of the game, but we are sure that plenty of Fallout 4 modders will be happy with a custom Fallout 4-themed backplate, although EVGA could have gone an extra mile and use a custom steampunk paintjob on the cooler shroud as well.
In case you missed it earlier, the GTX 970 is based on Nvidia's well known GM204 GPU with 1664 CUDA cores, 104 TMUs and 56 ROPs. It still packs 4GB of GDDR5 memory (3.5GB of faster and 0.5GB of slower memory) paired up with a 256-bit memory interface and clocked at 7.0GHz.
Unfortunately, it appears that
the EVGA GTX 970 SSC Fallout 4 Edition is exclusive to Best Buy in the US and currently sells for US $369.99 but we guess that EVGA might extend it to other shops in case it sells out.
