Nvidia has revealed a bit more details regarding its future Geforce Game Ready drivers that will be available only via Geforce Experience and require registration.
With the launch of the new Geforce Experience,
which brought plenty of new features and improvements, Nvidia has briefly detailed the way it will release its future Geforce Game Ready drivers, which will require you to install Geforce Experience software and register via e-mail.
According to new details, Nvidia will only push quarterly Geforce driver updates to the web while Game Ready drivers will be available via Geforce Experience.
Nvidia has recently noted that over 90 percent of recent driver updates were downloaded via Geforce Experience and it does not come as a surprise that the company wants to do some further promotion via Geforce Experience by forcing users to register a valid e-mail address.
Those that decide not to install or use the Geforce Experience will be limited to quarterly major graphics card driver updates.
AMD did a similar thing with its Gaming Evolved app, but does not force users to install it in order to get the latest Beta drivers, at least not yet.
The Nvidia Geforce Experience got some rather interesting new updates yesterday and Nvidia has promised even more next year.
