While we already knew that Acer was working on a new 8-inch Predator gaming tablet, we haven't heard much about it recently but, according to the latest reports, Acer has started mass production and we can expect it in late Q3 or early Q4 this year.
According to a report from Digitimes.com, Acer's Predator 8 tablet has already entered mass production and could be ready to launch next month. We already saw the Acer Predator 8 gaming tablet back in April, when the company was showing a prototype device.
While there are no precise details regarding specifications, we do know that it should run on Intel's Atom Z8700 Cherry Trail quad-core SoC which should provide decent performance. It will be running on Android OS and feature four front facing speakers.
Currently, Nvidia Shield is probably the best gaming tablet on the market but it appears that some other manufacturers want a piece of that market and Acer might have a winner on their hands, at least if they manage to get it to the market.
