We were certainly surprised to see that Turn 10 Studio managed to get Forza 6 to run at 1080p 60FPS during Gamescom 2015, but it clearly shows that well optimized games are gold, even on consoles.
In an interview with Creative Director Dan Greenawalt during Xbox showcase held after Microsoft's Gamescom 2015 press conference, DualShockers.com were curious as we were about the work needed to get such good looking game to run at 1080p and 60 FPS on a console like Xbox One.
Dan Greenawalt noted that it is all about optimization and the ForzaTech graphics engine that certainly does wonders. The Turn 10 Studios and PlayGround teams certainly outdid themselves and have also showed that a game can be optimized to run smooth even when you are talking about 24 cars on a wet track in a night scenario, and that is a lot of effects.
