According to a latest post at Reddit, it appears that there will be no Death Star map in the upcoming EA/DICE Star Wars Battlefront game.

While a lot of people, including us, have quietly hoped that we will get to relive the Death Star destruction in the new Star Wars Battlefront game, according to a post from Electronic Arts community manager at Reddit, there will be no such map in the game.

We already knew that Star Wars Battlefront will not include any space battles or space maps and that the big AT-AT will only be available in the Walker Assault mode, but now we have a confirmation that there will be no Death Star either, or the map where you battle for it.

In its post on Reddit, EA community manager said that :"We will not offer a Death Star-based map," but added to "stay tuned for details around the maps we will offer." He also added that Star Destroyers will be present in the game but it will not be possible to shoot them down.

The Star Wars Battlefront will be launched for Playstation 4, Xbox One and the PC on November 17th while closed alpha starts on July 2nd.
