Slightly Mad Studios has announced that it has sold over one million copies of Project CARS game since it launched in May.
According to Ian Bell, head of the studio, such high sales milestone was achieved due to feedback studio received during the development of the game. Bell added that community was instrumental in guiding the game and pointing out things that need to be improved as well as highlighting what needs to be included, thus creating a perfect game for the community.
“Even with this amount of early indication, it wasn’t until the first review scores came in that we truly realized how much Project CARS had resonated with both media, racing professionals, and gamers alike around the world."
“To now stand here having reached over a million players in such a short time really justifies the work both the team and the community have done over the years," said Bell in its statement.
Bell also noted that we will hear more on the future of Project CARS "very, very soon."
Slightly Mad Studios has also been developing the Wii U version of the game but it has been delayed due to optimizations for the console.
