Scythe unveils the Mugen MAX CPU cooler

Tower-type with 140mm fan

Scythe has unveiled its newest version of the quite popular Mugen tower CPU cooler, the Mugen MAX. Based on slightly bigger design with 140mm fan, the new Mugen MAX follows standard tower-type CPU cooler design and supports most modern Intel and AMD CPU sockets.

As noted, the Mugen MAX is slightly larger tower-design CPU cooler measuring 145x110x161mm and weighing in at 870g. It has a nickel-plated copper base connected to a rather unique looking aluminum heatsink via six 6mm nickel-plated copper heatpipes.

The Mugen MAX ships with 140mm Scythe Falcon PWM fan which spins between 500 and 1300RPM, provides between 37.37 and 97.18 CFM of airflow and produces between 13 and 30.7dBA of noise.

As noted, the Scythe Mugen MAX supports Intel LGA 2011, 115x and LGA 1366 as well as AMD AM3+ and FM2+ sockets. The new Scythe Mugen MAX CPU cooler is expected to be available in mid-June.
