The latest Android platform distribution update from Google shows that Android 4.4 KitKat has finally crossed the 5 percent mark.
The recently seen trend for Android distribution is continuing in March as well and while Android 4.4 KitKat finally rose over 5 percent, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean rose a bit and currently holds around 18 percent while Android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich dropped and is below 15 percent.
The more interesting is the situation with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean which stayed at below 9 percent since January, suggesting that manufacturers are skipping 4.3 and going straight for Android 4.4 KitKat, something that LG is doing.
In any case, Jelly Bean still reigns supreme and iuts 4.1.x, 4.2.x and 4.3 versions are on over 60 percent of devices.
