ADATA announces Premier Pro SP920 SSD

Up to 1TB of capacity

ADATA has announced the new member of its Premier Pro series of solid state drives, the Premier Pro SP920 SSD.


With a standard 2.5-inch 7mm-thick form factor and based on Marvell controller paired up with synchronous MLC NAND, the new Premier Pro SP920 SSD line will feature SATA 6Gbps interface and be available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacities.

The maximum performance for the new Premier Pro SP920 SSD is listed for 1TB model and is at up to 560MB/s read and 500MB/s write while maximum 4k random performance is set at 98,000 IOPS read and 88,000 IOPS write.

The new ADATA Premier Pro SP920 comes bundled with 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch bracket, 7mm to 9.5mm 2.5-inch holder and Acronis ATI HD 2013 software as well as the recently released ADATA's proprietary SSD Toolbox software which allows users to obtain disk information, change settings, and improve SSD lifespan & performance.

ADATA noted that the Premier Pro SP920 will be initially available in 128 and 256GB capacities while 512GB and 1TB will follow shortly after. The entire lineup will be available at both Amazon.com and Newegg.com with price set at US $89.99 for the 128GB mode, US $159.99 for the 256GB one, US $334.99 for the 512GB and US $529.99 for the 1TB model.
