Masters of Modding Italian Contest 2014

Quick look at the event

Last weekend, we have attended the M.O.M.I.C. 2014, an Italian modding contest held during the “Fiera dell'Elettronica del Radioamatore”, in Gonzaga (Italy). During these 2 days the NBCL overclock team had some extreme overclocking sessions.

M.O.M.I.C stands for “Master Of Modding Italian Contest”, and it is the modding contest created by Italia Modding. The M.O.M.I.C area had 3 different zones: the first zone was about live modding, where you could see some modders at work. In the second zone we could find many italian modders, while the third and last one was ran by NBCL team.

The whole weekend was about overclocking, modding and, of course, a lot of liquid nitrogen. The NBCL team had 3 overclocking posts, two of them with liquid nitrogen. This team, lead by Pixy, used many different platforms, from Socket A to LGA 2011.

Bong313, using dry ice and an homemade pot, managed to get a few interesting results with a NF7 motherboard. This guy is really into modding and overclocking and you can tell that just by looking at his motherboard, full of hard-mods. Pixy managed to get 4th place on XTU benchmark, using an Intel i3-4430, and he was just a few points behind the French overclocker Wizerty.

We would like to thank the whole team, every company and shop that made this event possible. These two days were really interesting!

We shot a few nice pictures during the event, you can see those on the following Facebook link. Facebook
