AMD leaks upcoming Hawaii FirePro graphics card

Should launch this month

AMD has accidentally leaked an announcement showing an upcoming launch event for Hawaii-based FirePro graphics card. While there are no details regarding the card itself, we at least have the March 26th date to look forward to.

Spotted by Videocardz.com site, the leak, unfortunately, did not include any details regarding the actual specifications of the new FirePro graphics card, but only had a date attached to it with webcast event scheduled for March 26th.

Nvidia has been doing quite well in the professional market for quite some time and Quadro has also been Nvidia's steady income cash cow, but it appears that AMD is now pushing quite hard for that market and Hawaii FirePro might change a lot of things. To be precise, AMD is holding a mere 1/5 of the market share while Nvidia rains supreme and it appears that AMD is pushing hard to get up to 30 percent.

We are certainly looking forward to that launch and hopefully we will see what can Hawaii GPU do when it comes to professional market segment.
