Zotac unveils new ZBox mini-PCs with Intel and AMD

The ZBox EI750/EI730 and ZBox nano AQ02

In order to somewhat celebrate the start of the CeBIT 2014 show in Hannover, Germany, Zotac has announced a couple of new ZBox mini-PCs which will be showcased during the show, the new ZBox EI750 and EI730 based on Intel's Haswell CPUs and the new ZBox nano AQ02 based on AMD's Richland APU.

Both the ZBox EI750 and the ZBox EI730 are pretty much the same and feature a rather neat looking, all black 3rd generation ZBox chassis and are based on either the quad-core 3.2GHz clocked Core i7-4770R with 6MB of L2 cache, Iris Pro 5200 IGP and 3.9GHz TurboBoost (on the ZBox EI750) or the 2.7GHz clocked quad-core Core i5-4570R with 4MB of L2 cache, Iris Pro 5200 IGP and 3.2GHz TurboBoost (on the ZBox EI730). As expected, both new ZBox E-series mini-PCs feature 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, support for standard 2.5-inch SATA HDD/SDD, mSATA port, dual Gigabit Ethernet, DVI and two DisplayPort ouputs, four USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader and 7.1-channel audio.

Both E-Series ZBox mini-PCs will be available as barebones, with support for any 2.5-inch HDD that you want and up to 16GB of DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM memory in two slots, or as a PLUS version equipped with 1TB 5400RPM HDD and 8GB of DDR3-1600 memory.

The new ZBox nano AQ02 on the other hand comes with single AMD Richland A8-5545M APU with Radeon HD 8510G GPU and will also be available as a barebone or as a Plus version with 500GB HDD and 4GB of RAM. Despite its rather small 12.7x12.7cm size, the ZBox nano AQ02 packs quite a few features including Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, 7.1-channel audio with optical S/PDIF, card reader, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, one eSATA port and four USB 3.0 ports.

Unfortunately, Zotac did not reveal any details regarding the price or the availability date but we will hopefully dig out more info during CeBIT 2014 and try to check them out in action.
