AMD is working on a new SKU which should fill in the gap between the Radeon R7 250 and the Radeon R7 260 graphics cards, the Radeon R7 250X. We can already see some of the first pictures from a couple of partners, including Sapphire, and the new graphics card should be based on the 28nm Oland GPU.

Videocardz.com managed to snatch some pictures of the R9 250X from Sapphire and ASUS and according to details, the upcoming R7 250X will feature AMD 28nm Oland GPU and pack 640 Stream Processors, 40 TMUs and 16 ROPs. It should be available with 1GB or 2GB of memory paired up with a 128-bit memory interface.

The GPU is apparently clocked at around 1GHz while memory ends up at 4.5GHz. AMD will apparently do a silent launch and the R7 250X is expected to show up on European retail/e-tail shelves with a price tag of around €90 (inc. VAT).
