Microsoft wants to change Internet Explorer perception

With RethinkIE site

While it is usually under fire from both competitors and critics, Internet Explorer is still a leader in the browser market and Microsoft's RethinkIE campaign will try to restore consumer confidence in it.
Some users certainly prefer Internet Explorer over other browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Chromium or Opera, which usually feature much better extensions and applications for navigation. While these options were unfortunately absent from IE, it was always suspected that Internet Explorer was abandoned by Microsoft.

Apparently and luckily that is not the case and to prove it, Microsoft has launched the new RethinkIE site with "Rethink What The Web Can Be" video which shows what the browser will bring. There is also a neat presentation for the IE 11.

The video shows that Microsoft is definitely working on it and that Internet Explorer 11 is clearly designed for tablets. Whether you have a preferred browser or not, we can objectively say that this version is far from Internet Explorer 8 and maybe even stop making fun off it without trying it.
